Do you want learn how to make natural and organic soap that is actually good for your skin? Take our Soap Making 101 class to find out how to make your own soap with pure, simple natural ingredients like cocoa butter, shea butter, olive oil and more. This hands on class with step-by-step instructions will give you the confidence you need to make your own soap.


In this class you will learn:

  • The basic chemistry of soap
  • The difference between handmade soap and commercial soap
  • The Equipment and Supplies needed to make Soap
  • The safety precautions necessary when making soap
  • The Ingredients needed to make soap
  • The basic soap making process.


During the hands-on portion of the class you will:

Make soap from start to finish using a basic recipe , including:

  • Learning how to line a mold
  • Preparing your oils and additives
  • Making a lye solution for your soap
  • Selecting natural colorants for your soap
  • Selecting essential oils to scent your soap
  • Mixing your soap and pouring into a mold.


You will make and take home 20 ounces of soap, which equates to 4-6 bars - a retail value of $30.00!

What to bring: Please wear a long sleeved shirt and closed toe shoes. All other supplies including base oils, additives, essential oils, colorants, equipment , molds , aprons and safety goggles will be provided.
