I didn’t find self-care, self-care found me! After an injury at work, I was broken both physically and emotionally. This injury allowed me to pause and ask if perhaps it was time for a change. This period of deep introspection took me on an incredible journey of self-discovery and FINALLY for the first time in my life, I felt that I could focus on taking care of me. I embraced the idea that self-care is not selfish, it’s survival, and as a part time hobby, I began to create pampering products at home that made me feel like a person again. I created soaps, bath salts and face masks with herbs and essential oils to relax my body and mind. I got so excited about the way these products made me feel, I created Beauty by Francesca to share what I had learned about self-care with others who may also need a reminder to take a pause for a moment and embrace self-love.
